Opal Group is excited to debut its annual Emerging Managers Summit in NYC this fall!

Held in one of the world’s largest financial capitals, this event perfectly aligns with the culture and values of the city that never sleeps. The program will highlight the benefits and opportunities for institutional and private wealth investors to invest in new, diverse, emerging managers and boutique fund managers. In addition to networking with key decision-makers of family offices and pension funds, new managers will be able to connect and exchange best practice ideas with their peers. Attendees will be able to hear from the nation’s leaders in the new and ever-changing emerging manager market.

CONFERENCE FORMAT: We design our program to be interactive and educational. For this we reason, we DO NOT allow the use of PowerPoint Presentations during panel sessions. Panelists have the option to upload presentations to our mobile event app. *Standalone Speakers can use PowerPoint Presentations, but cannot pitch products or advertise their firms. *

Myths and Realities of Launching the Firm

What Does It Take To Emerge From The Crowd?

We invite you to join Witherspoon Partners on Friday, September 15th for a dynamic emerging manager workshop, “Myths and Realities of Launching the Firm,” open to all attending the Opal Emerging Managers Summit.

Addressing new and emerging firms and those who invest in them, Witherspoon Partners founder Keith Danko will present timely and crucial considerations that are often underestimated or misunderstood by managers—like the importance of marketing and the demands of raising capital in today’s climate. Having allocated to dozens of emerging managers throughout his career, Danko lends a first-hand, seasoned perspective to the art of getting a fund off the ground.

I valued the opportunity to engage with those representing the various stages of the investment process; from the managers, to the consultants, to the investors. I found the substantive conversations I had to be one of the conference's highlights. Anonymous
