The private markets aren’t merely another segment of finance, but a vehicle for investment management to drive their portfolio returns. The deals, products—and even the clients—involved with private market assets represent a vast part of the investable landscape available to investors.
Thanks to that growth, real estate, private equity & venture funds are no longer exclusive, but widely available to sophisticated investors like pensions, family offices and even 401(k) plans. Additionally, private fund structures are no longer limited—secondaries along with private credit and venture debt have involved with the industry’s growth. Meanwhile, private investments in real estate and infrastructure has also seen tremendous demand, investors opting to monetize projects tied to properties or public works. Lastly, the growth of the private markets has set in motion a blurring of roles between limited and general partners, reframing LPs—endowments and foundations, pensions and family offices—as direct investors searching for deal flow and returns.
Our Private Markets Investment Forum is a venue to foster open dialogue and professional education for both institutional and high-net-worth capital allocators, fund managers, service providers and private companies, around the benefits & challenges of private market investing and diversification beyond public markets.
